Some family beaches have more amenities, such as the
Messila Family Beach, where there is a large swimming pool with a water slide, fast food, and play areas for children. There are also numerous private beaches in front of chalets, sea clubs, and hotels. Some hotels
have fabulous Friday brunches with use of the beach and pool included for the afternoon.

Beaches are scattered all along the
coastline and the nearly invariably fair weather allows for sea sports the year round. The obvious ones are fishing, boating, and swimming, but there are also diving, wind surfing, and water-skiing, and
the ever-more-popular jetskis and parasailing. There is equipment for rent at most of the beaches.

Kuwait, and there are several sailing clubs. For a visitor, the best course is to find a friend who is a member.

throughout the year, such as regattas, races, and cruises, some with windsurfers and catamarans as well as sailboats of all sizes. You can often find enthusiastic catamaran sailors
